Financial Accountant

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy, transparency, and compliance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing Accounts Payable across multiple business entities
- Managing weekly Sales/ Revenue analysis and reporting across multiple business entities
- Performing daily bank reconciliations and preparing cash flow statements/forecasts
- Prepare and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded accurately
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for completeness and accurately manage the travel expense process
- Complete monthly and annual consolidation of the group.
- Provide analysis and commentary of key drivers of variance to budget and forecast
- Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG and FBT statements Partner with stakeholders to provide financial reports and analysis, that supports strategic decision-making
What will you bring to the role?
To thrive in this role, you’ll be someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive mindset. Ideally, you will:
- have a CPA or equivalent qualification
- Possess a strong understanding of core accounting principles and have hands-on experience across the full spectrum of financial accounting functions
- A proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Be skilled at prioritising responsibilities, from routine accounting and administrative duties to resolving complex, ad-hoc financial issues
- Be an effective communicator, capable of translating business needs into actionable financial insights
- Strong Excel knowledge, from compilation, analysis to presentation of financial data
- Knowledge on tax, statutory and management reporting
- Have solid experience working with accounting and CRM systems—this will be highly regarded
- Industry experience in staffing or managed services is a plus, though not essential
Remuneration
This role is paying between $90,000 - $100,000 dependent on experience + superannuation
