Global Medics AU is seeking an Experienced Recruitment Leader – GP Division

We’re seeking an experienced recruitment leader to oversee our high‑performing GP team, which includes some of our top billers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a leadership capacity, is passionate about elevating team capability, and enjoys driving both commercial results and people development.

This is a pivotal leadership position within a well‑established, high‑demand division. What You’ll Be Doing

In this leadership role, you’ll take full ownership of the GP division-driving performance, developing your team, and steering the strategic and commercial success of a high‑demand, high‑performing desk.

• Lead, mentor, and support a successful GP recruitment team, including some of our top billers, ensuring consistent performance and growth

• Drive capability uplift through coaching, development plans, regular feedback, and performance management

• Maintain a small personal billing target, leading by example and staying closely connected to the market

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow headcount, expand market presence, and strengthen revenue streams

• Build, nurture, and deepen strong client and candidate relationships to create lasting partnerships and repeat business

• Oversee candidate attraction activity, utilising headhunting, advertising, referrals, social media, and proactive sourcing

• Negotiate commercially with key clients, ensuring competitive outcomes and long‑term business engagement

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders—operations, compliance, payroll, marketing—to support seamless delivery and shared success

• Champion a high‑performance, values‑driven team culture where accountability, development, and success are consistently recognised

• A confident, capable leader with proven people‑management experience, able to set direction, support your team through challenges, and create an environment where individuals consistently perform at their best

• An accomplished agency recruiter with a strong track record of success, ideally within a specialist or healthcare market, and confident navigating competitive, fast‑moving environments

• A strong, inspiring leader with a history of uplifting team capability and performance, driving engagement, developing skills, and elevating overall team output

• Commercially minded, ambitious, and results‑driven, with the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on commercial activity

• Skilled at mentoring, coaching, and developing recruiters at all levels, from early‑career consultants through to seasoned high performers

• Self‑managing, reliable, and trustworthy, with a reputation for integrity, accountability, and following through on commitments

• Passionate about delivering exceptional candidate and client experiences, ensuring high service standards and long‑term relationship success

What’s on Offer

We recognise strong leaders. You’ll earn $115k–$125k (based on experience), plus uncapped commission and an attractive bonus structure.
