About Global Medics
Global Medics is a specialist healthcare recruitment business connecting doctors with locum and permanent opportunities across New Zealand.
From hospitals and rural communities to General Practices, our Auckland team works with healthcare professionals across New Zealand and overseas to help get the right doctors to the places they're needed most.
We're part of MGG Health, a specialist healthcare recruitment group operating across Australia and New Zealand.
Our values are simple: We Trust. We Care. We Celebrate. We Open Doors.
About the role
As a Para Consultant, you’ll work alongside experienced Recruitment Consultants to find and engage doctors across New Zealand and internationally. You’ll build candidate pipelines through warm calls, proactive sourcing, LinkedIn, referrals and targeted campaigns, while learning how to headhunt, understand the healthcare market and build strong candidate relationships. It’s a hands-on, phone-based role designed to develop your recruitment and sales skills and provide a pathway towards becoming a Recruitment Consultant.
What you'll bring
We're interested in people who have experience in sales or customer service and who have the attitude and drive to build a career. Recruitment experience is a plus!
You'll ideally bring:
Confidence speaking with people over the phone
A natural ability to build rapport and relationships
Strong communication and listening skills
A proactive approach – you're comfortable reaching out rather than waiting for things to happen
Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong attention to detail
Confidence learning new systems and digital tools
A professional approach to confidential information
Resilience and a willingness to keep going when someone doesn't answer the first call
Curiosity about people, healthcare and the New Zealand employment market
A genuine interest in developing a career in sales and recruitment
Most importantly, you'll be someone who's willing to pick up the phone, start conversations and learn.
Why you’ll love working with us?
At MGG Health, we're committed to creating a workplace that supports your growth, wellbeing and success. Here's what we offer:
A genuine career pathway with ongoing development and structured learning to help you build a long-term career in recruitment.
Recognition that celebrates your success through our Recognition & Rewards Program, including annual and quarterly awards, incentive trips, top performer lunches, and regular shout-outs across the business.
A fully funded events calendar with monthly, quarterly and annual gatherings that bring our team together in style.
Customisable perks so you can choose benefits that suit your lifestyle, because one size doesn't fit all.
Genuine flexibility with working arrangements that support your personal and professional balance.
Additional leave to celebrate your birthday, focus on your wellbeing, or invest in your growth through learning and development.
Competitive parental leave to support you and your family through life's important moments.
Ready to start your recruitment career?
If you're confident with people, comfortable picking up the phone and excited by the idea of building a career in recruitment and sales, we'd love to hear from you.
